Commercial products for finishers: Pioner Feed ADD-S for finishers

Abstract
This trial studied the effect of adding Pioner Feed ADD-S to finisher feed. Pioner Feed ADD-S contains plant extracts on carrier, and is added to the feed to stimulate the appetite of the pigs.

The trial comprised the following treatments:

200 g/tonne liquid Pioner Feed ADD-S 900 g/tonne dry Pioner Feed ADD-S

Brøste A/S

Pioner Feed ADD-S was added to the feed as a liquid product and as a dry product. 900 g/tonne dry product was added in the mixer, and 200 g/tonne was sprayed onto the feed after pelleting.

Analyses of the feed showed that the nutrient content corresponded with the calculated content.

The productivity per place unit per year for both groups was calculated on the basis of the achieved production results using the same price per FUp for both mixes.

Overall the trial showed that there was no significant difference in productivity between the control group and the group given the above doses of Pioner Feed ADD-S in the feed. In a previous trial, Pioner Feed ADD-S improved productivity significantly in weaners with a dosing of 2 kg/tonne feed.
