Guidelines for A.I. stations

Guidelines for A.I. stations (DanBred in Denmark), semen preservation and health control is a set of rules and recommendations that have been made as a co-operation between the Danish Pig Production and all the A.I. Stations as a sub-agreement to the general agreement between the A.I. Stations and Danish Pig Production.

The guidelines contain instructions for collection, evaluation of semen, dilution of semen and control of diluted semen. Furthermore the procedures for reactivation of semen and control of new boars are described.

Finally, the internal health control, procedures for vaccination and control of infectious diseases are specified.
